Our Children’s Centre has had the 820i Classroom Audio System installed by S.A.V. Systems for over at term now. The difference it has made to teacher led groups for our hearing impaired child has been enormous. In fact all children have benefitted from having the system. They can clearly hear the teacher talking at the front of the group and are not distracted by all the other noises coming from the adjacent rooms and the kitchen. All educators who work with young children will know how important it is that children are not distracted when they are trying to tune, listen and respond to the teacher. We have four classes with sound field systems and the teachers in those rooms wouldn’t be without it now. They are thrilled with the instant attention gained effortlessly as they speak to the class in normal conversation. The children stay focussed for longer, understand instructions immediately and stay on task because they can hear so clearly and feel part of the lesson.
Our school has open classrooms adjacent to each other. The sound field systems eliminate competing noise. Teachers comment that group work is much easier to manage. They can be working with a group and without raising the volume, quickly instruct a group across the room to keep them on task. (The ‘voice from above’ is a great adjunct to the ‘eyes in the back of the head’).

installed in my classroom in September 2008 to support a student with a Auditory Processing Disorder.
I have found that the system is not only beneficial to this child in helping them to discriminate my voice
and hear important information, but also helps the other students in the class with their listening.
The system also helps me "save" my voice by needing to use less volume to be heard.
The students are also learning valuable speaking skills by using the microphone when presenting their
